Spiced Cheerios - The perfect snack!

 Autumns Spiced Cheerios

Ingredients:
1 C Original Cheerios
1 ½ TBSP Butter
¼ Tsp Chili Powder
1/8  tsp Salt
1/8 tsp oregano
¼ tsp garlic powder
1/8 tsp black pepper
Dash of red pepper


Instructions:
In small skillet, on medium heat, place cold butter and sprinkle seasonings on top of butter. Stir until butter is melted and seasonings are incorporated. Add in cheerios and stir until butter and seasonings are incorporated into cheerios. Eat!

Autumn’s Mayan Pork Chops





TOTAL TIME: 40 min

 Autumn’s Mayan Pork Chops

Ingredients:
2 TBSP Olive Oil
4 TBSP Butter (divided)
1 Sliced Mayan Onion  (or another sweet onion)
1 TSP Minced Garlic
½ C Sherry Cooking Wine
½ C Sliced Baby Bella Mushrooms
4 Pork chops (1/2 inch Thick)
Salt
Pepper
2 TBSP Fresh Chopped Parsley


Instructions:
Heat Large skillet on medium heat until oil and 2 TBSP butter is hot. Add in sliced onions and minced garlic. Cook until soft and translucent. Add in ½ of wine. Cook until caramelized (dark and tender). Stir very often. Add in mushrooms. Cover and cook until mushrooms are tender. Stir often. Push mushrooms and onions towards the rim of the pan and add in remaining 2 TBSP of butter. Once melted, add in seasoned pork chops. Add in remaining wine. Once it is seared on one side flip and cover pork with onions and mushroom mixture. Cover pan. Cook until pork is to correct temperature (12-15 min, 170 degrees). Top with fresh parsley.

Autumn’s Tips:
Make sure to allow onions to become very dark and tender (Caramelized). This will take a while.

Pork may take longer to cook. Make sure you reach correct temp.

How To Make the Perfect Steak

 How to Make the Perfect Steak

2 RULES:
#1. Bring Steak to room temperature so that it cooks evenly.
#2. Only use Kosher Salt and Black Pepper!!!

INGREDIENTS:
 Steak ( NY Strip, Serlion, or Ribeye)
Kosher Salt
Black Pepper
Olive Oil

INSTRUCTIONS:
1.         Bring Meat to room temp.
2.       Spray a little olive oil on both sides and the grill.
3.       Season liberally with kosher salt and pepper on both sides.
4.       Grill until Desireed doneness.

Autumn’s Tips:
Easy!

Rare: 120 to 125 degrees F
            Medium Rare: 130 to 135 degrees F
            Meduim: 140 to 145 degrees F
Medium Well: 150 to 155 degrees F
Well: 160 degrees F and above

If you are indoors: Preheat pan with a little bit of butter. While steak cooks, spoon butter on top of the steak constantly.


Autumns steak butter: After your steaks are done if you want a little something special… mix cold butter with fresh chopped parsley, salt, garlic powder, and pepper. Add the cold butter to the hot steak and let it melt. YUM!

London Broil






TOTAL TIME: 8.5 hrs

Inactive Prep:  8 hrs
Cook: 15-20 min

 
 
London Broil

Ingredients:
3 tsp Minced Garlic
 1/2 cup soy sauce
 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
 2 tablespoons ketchup
 1 teaspoon dried oregano
 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
 1 (2 pound) flank steak or round steak or London Broil

Instructions:
In a Gallon zipblock bag, mix together garlic, soy sauce, oil, ketchup, oregano, and black pepper. Score meat in diamond pattern on both sides.
Place meat in plastic bag with marinade. Refrigerate 8 hours, or overnight.
Preheat grill for medium-high heat.
Lightly oil the grill grate. Place steak on the grill, and discard marinade. Cook to temperature (see notes) Do not overcook, as it is better on the medium side.

Autumn’s Tips:

Temps:
            Rare: 120 to 125 degrees F
            Medium Rare: 130 to 135 degrees F

Well: 160 degrees F and above

To Cook inside: Preheat oven to 400. Heat skillet with 1 TBSP olive oil until hot. Brown both sides of meat (approx. 2 min on each side). Place pan in oven until desired temperature.
